Uri Lopatin, MD, currently serves as an Operating Partner at Khosla Ventures and a Fellow at the Edmund Hillary Fellowship, with extensive experience in biotechnology and healthcare. As the Founder and former CEO of Pardes Biosciences, Uri focused on developing novel oral viral-protease inhibitors. Previously, Uri co-founded Assembly Biosciences, holding roles such as Chief Medical Officer and Chief Medical Officer at Assembly Pharmaceuticals prior to its merger with Ventrus Biosciences. Additionally, Uri has contributed as a mentor in programs like StartX Med and the Thiel 20 under 20 Fellowship, and participated in the Emerging Leaders in Biosecurity Initiative. Academic qualifications include an MD from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and a BA in Biology from Cornell University.
