Jeffrey S. Lyon

Jeffrey S. Lyon has nearly 40 years experience marketing commercial properties throughout the Puget Sound, with expertise in office and retail leasing and development and advisory services. He has represented and acted as a consultant in the region for several financial institutions and local professional services companies.

Jeff merged his family-owned business with Kidder Mathews in 1992. He worked as a broker and consultant until he was named President and CEO in 1999, and was promoted to Chairman and CEO in January 2006. Since then he has been a significant contributor to the success of the organization, and he has received recognition for his unique leadership style including 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young, 2018 CEO Executive Excellence Award by the Seattle Business Magazine, and he was honored by the Puget Sound Business Journal with a CRE Lifetime Achievement award in 2019. In Jeff’s role as Chairman, he will be active in the firm’s strategic vision and leadership.

Jeff is a certified member of the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute (CCIM). He was a certified instructor in CCIM’s education program for over 20 years, as well as a real estate educator in the State of Washington. He has also been awarded the prestigious Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) designation. Jeff is the 2019 President of CCIM Education Foundation.

As an active participant in the community, Jeff serves on the Boards of Directors for the Economic Development Council for Tacoma-Pierce County, Kidder Mathews, Heritage Bank, the CCIM Education Foundation, and the Tacoma-Pierce County Sports Commission.

Jeff is a member of the University of Washington Runstad Center for Real Estate Studies. Jeff has also served as the President of the Washington Association of Realtors and the Tacoma- Pierce County Association of Realtors, and is a two-time past President of Washington’s CCIM Chapter.
