Mark Flanzenbaum, MD, FAAP, serves as the Chief Medical Officer and President of KidMed Urgent Care, a pediatric urgent care practice established in February 2009 in Richmond, providing care to patients from birth to age 25. Simultaneously, Mark holds the position of Co-Chief Executive Officer at Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU, where an honorary role as Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics has been maintained since 1996, reflecting a long-standing relationship with the institution. Prior experience includes a role as Emergency Medicine Physician and Medical Director at Virginia Emergency Associates from June 1994 to July 2008. Mark Flanzenbaum completed a residency in Combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Virginia Commonwealth University and earned an MD from the University at Buffalo, complemented by a cum laude B.S. in Biology from Binghamton University.
