President, Founding Partner at KidMed - Pediatric Urgent Care

Mark Flanzenbaum, MD, FAAP has extensive experience in the medical field. Mark is the President and Founding Partner of KidMed - Pediatric Urgent Care, a practice that provides urgent and emergent medical care to patients from birth through age 25. Mark played a key role in establishing the practice in 2009 and opening additional facilities in 2011. Mark also served as a Co-Chief Executive Officer at KidMed. Prior to this, they worked at the Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics starting in 1996. Mark was also an Emergency Medicine Physician and Partner at Virginia Emergency Associates, where they served as the Medical Director from 2002 to 2003.

Mark Flanzenbaum, MD, FAAP completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with Cum Laude honors at Binghamton University from 1981 to 1985. Following that, they attended the University at Buffalo from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. During their time at the University at Buffalo, they were enrolled in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

After completing their medical degree, Dr. Flanzenbaum pursued a residency in Combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Virginia Commonwealth University from 1990 to 1994. Mark has also obtained a certification in Pediatrics and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP).
