Brent Garner

Brent Garner has a wealth of experience in software development, beginning with a 6-month contract position at Critical Mass in 2004. Brent then worked as a Web Developer at Rare Method, Suitcase Interactive, and RFX Brand + Communications Inc., where they developed websites and maintained production, testing, and development environments and servers. In 2007, they began working at FGL Sports Ltd. (now Canadian Tire) as a Software Development Team Lead. In 2009, they worked as a freelancer, assembling teams of designers and developers from contacts at previous jobs. In 2011, they returned to FGL Sports Ltd. as a Software Development Team Lead. In 2019, they joined Benevity as a Software Development Team Lead, and was promoted to Software Development Manager in the same year. As an SDM, they led the team that built the CIAM solution using Okta to manage users for Benevity's clients and lead the teams involved in the update of key infrastructure, including Jenkins pipelines and Docker containerization of applications. In 2023, Brent Garner joined Kidoodle.TV\u00ae as a Web Tech Lead.

Brent Garner attended Lethbridge College from 1997 to 1999, where they studied Multimedia Production. Brent then attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 2001 to 2002, studying Object-Oriented Software Engineering.
