Brian Wandawa

Brian Wandawa is a seasoned software engineer and tech lead with extensive experience in AI development and cloud systems. Currently at VanEck as a Web Tech Lead, Brian develops an AI code generation system and enhances a cloud-native Django platform on AWS. Previously, as a Lead Software Engineer at McMaster-Carr, Brian spearheaded significant projects, including a refactor of complex web components and a low-latency messaging service. Brian also has foundational experience through internships with KPMG IDAS Uganda, African Alliance, and Blackford Capital, where analytical and investment skills were honed. Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Philosophy and Economics from the University of Chicago.
