Kids in Need of Defense
Gabriela Brito is a staff attorney at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) since January 2024, having previously held a similar position at Ayuda from March 2020 to January 2024. Prior experience includes serving as a discovery law clerk at the Law Offices of Gene J. Goldsman and as a legal fellow at Centro de los Derechos del Migrante. Gabriela also worked as a student attorney in the Immigrant Justice Clinic at American University Washington College of Law, where Gabriela earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 2017. Additional legal experience encompasses various internships including roles at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington and the Legal Aid Justice Center. Gabriela holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Italian Studies from Tufts University and graduated from North Hollywood High School Highly Gifted Magnet.
