Leana Greene

CEO & Founder at kidsinthehouse.com

Leana Greene is the founder and CEO of Kids in the House. Raised in Stockholm, Sweden and later immigrating to the United States, Greene has successfully started several businesses. In her early 20s she founded Absolute Court Reporting, which she built to be the premier court reporting company in Southern California and eventually sold to Paulson Court Reporting in 2003. In 2005, Greene started her own record company, Swedish Diva Productions, and pursued her natural music talent by producing and recording an original album, Faith in Myself. The album landed on international music charts, including five Top 10 Billboard Dance hits, amongst others.

After becoming a mother of three, Greene decided to focus on raising her family and developed a strong passion for parenting and education. She spent her time reading parenting books and attending lectures to gain as much knowledge as possible. Realizing that many parents were busy like her, Greene strove to create a comprehensive resource that was quick and easy to use. In 2013, after spending years doing research and filming over 450 parenting experts, Greene launched Kids in the House. With over 8,000 videos, the website is now the world’s largest parenting video library. It also serves as a tool to raise awareness on issues like bullying through social campaigns such as #EndBullying, which launched in 2014 and was publically supported by figures such as Beyoncé, Jeff Probst, and Brook Burke-Charvet.

Greene serves on the honorary host committee for the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media Symposium. She is a strong supporter of Healthy Child Healthy World, Common Sense Media, and Brentwood School, where she serves on both the Parent University and the Education & Community Committee. She is an active volunteer at her children’s schools, and her greatest love is spending time with her family, including her husband, Browne Greene, and their children Violet, Blue, and Teal. “Together,” she says, “we’re the Rainbow Family!”
