Aaron Lohmann

Aaron Lohmann is a dedicated researcher specializing in digital economics, trade, and value chains, currently pursuing PhD research at both Kiel Institut für Weltwirtschaft and Universität Bielefeld since October 2022. Previously, Aaron served as a Student Research Assistant at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, focusing on econometrics and development economics, and held roles as a Student Assistant in statistics and an intern at Hans-Böckler-Stiftung and Hannover Rück-Gruppe. Aaron's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Bielefeld University and a Master of Science in Applied Statistics from The University of Göttingen, complemented by a semester abroad at Nova School of Business and Economics.

Kiel Institute for the World Economy

The Kiel Institute for the World Economy sees itself as the research institute in Germany for globalization issues. Our researchers investigate the drivers and effects of international economic activity, the integration and disintegration of global markets as well as the opportunities and limits of political action in open economies.
