Head Forschungskoordination Und Transfer Kiel Institut Für Weltwirtschaft at Kiel Institute for the World Economy

Sonja Peterson started their work experience in 2002 as a Senior Researcher at the Institut für Weltwirtschaft in Kiel. Sonja then progressed to become the Head of "Forschungskoordination und Transfer" at the same institute in 2020. In 2017, they also took on an Honorarprofessur role in Climate and Energy Economics at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel.

Sonja Peterson's education history begins in 1993 when they attended Herderschule Rendsburg, where they obtained their Abitur. From 1993 to 1999, they studied at the University of Hamburg, completing a degree in Diplom Wirtschaftsmathematik. Additionally, in 1997 to 1998, they pursued further education at the University of Colorado Boulder, earning a Master's degree in Economics. Finally, from 1999 to 2002, they attended Kiel University, where they achieved a degree in Dr. agr. in the field of Agrarökonomie.
