Kathryn Fothergill

Kathryn Fothergill has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Kathryn started their career in 2005 at Waitrose, where they joined as a Graduate Management Leadership Trainee and eventually became a Department Manager. In this role, they managed and opened several branches in central London, overseeing HR, Finance, and Customer KPIs.

In 2012, Kathryn joined Seven Hills, a startup communications agency, as the Head of HR & Operations. Their responsibilities included establishing and developing an end-to-end HR framework to support co-founders, managers, and employees.

In 2014, they pursued full-time study at Westminster University, completing a MA in Human Resource Management in 2015.

After completing their studies, Kathryn joined Kier Group in 2015 as an HR Project Manager for Talent and Organizational Development. Kathryn later became the Head of HR for Kier Living in 2017 and then the Head of Organizational Development in 2019. In January 2022, they were promoted to the role of Group Learning, Development, and Talent Director at Kier Group.

Kathryn Fothergill completed their undergraduate studies at The University of Edinburgh from 2001 to 2005, earning an MA degree in Geography with a 2:1 classification. Kathryn then pursued further education, obtaining a Post Graduate Certificate from IGD in 2010 to 2011. In 2014 to 2015, they attended the University of Westminster, where they achieved an MA degree in Human Resource Management (CIPD) with a Distinction. Additionally, in 2017 to 2018, Kathryn undertook professional training in Leadership & Psychometrics.
