Bruce Kirby

Bruce Kirby is an experienced commissioning manager specializing in power generation projects, currently serving as the Commissioning Manager at Kiewit since September 2025. Prior roles include leading commissioning for a new Siemens H class 1 x 1 CCGT at Shanahan Engineering and overseeing turbine operations at APS Solutions. Bruce's background encompasses extensive management positions, including Maintenance Manager at Holcim and Plant Manager at Lansing Board of Water & Light. With a strong foundation in engineering and operations gained from previous roles such as Senior Engineer at Power Systems Mfg. and Generation Manager at Wolverine Power Cooperative, Bruce has developed considerable expertise in startup and commissioning activities across various power plants. Educational qualifications include an Executive Leadership course from the University of Michigan and an AAS in Skilled Trades from Delta College, complemented by military training in gas turbine power plants through the US Navy.
