Damon Speyer

Damon Speyer is a seasoned safety professional with extensive experience in the construction industry, currently serving as the District Safety Manager at Kiewit since February 2023. Prior to this role, Damon held the position of Operating Group Safety Director at M. A. Mortenson Company for ten years, where responsibilities included overseeing safety for the Denver Operating Group. Additional experience includes serving as Vice President of Safety at USI Building Solutions, Safety Manager at Stacy and Witbeck, Inc., and Safety Training Manager at both Flatiron Construction Corporation and Western Summit Constructors, Inc. Damon began the professional career as a 4th Grade Dual Language Teacher with Las Cruces Public Schools. Educational qualifications include a degree in Spanish with a focus on Bilingual/Bicultural Education from the University of Northern Colorado.
