Richard Klassen

Richard Klassen is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in civil and land development. Currently serving as the Senior Design Engineering Manager at Kiewit since May 2021, Richard oversees projects in the Northeast and Southeast U.S. Prior to this role, Richard held various positions at HDR from September 2013 to May 2021, including Senior Procurement Manager, Commercial Manager, and Roadway Designer, contributing to the successful delivery of transportation projects across North America. Richard began his career as a Transportation Engineer/Project Manager at Spann & Associates, LLC, and also worked as a Civil Engineering Intern at Seton Engineering Service Corporation. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin and a Bachelor of Science in Transportation Engineering from Marquette University.
