Doug Newton has over 19 years of experience in Human Resources, Recruiting, Training, and Coaching. Most recently, they are a Human Resources Generalist at Midnight Sun Global Services, LLC and KIKIKTAGRUK INUPIAT CORPORATION, where they provide direct support to the Director of Human Resources and Compliance for the Alaskan Native Corporations and their subsidiary companies. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Personal Trainer at Personal Training Institute of West Caldwell, where they provided personal training to teenagers and adults 2-3 times per week.

Doug Newton began their career at Varsity Brands in 2002, where they served as a Staff Training and Development, Event Coordinator, and Head Instructor. Doug received multiple honors and distinctions from managers and colleagues while representing the company at the local, regional, national, and international levels, and was selected to serve as subject matter expert for adaptation of new system evaluation criteria. Doug also interviewed, hired, and trained new employees on best practices, innovative instructional techniques, and liability and safety issues.

Doug Newton holds a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, obtained between 2008 and 2011. Prior to that, they completed an Exercise Kinesiology degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from Bridgewater State College (now Bridgewater State University) between 2003 and 2006. Doug also holds a SHRM-CP certification from SHRM, obtained in June 2020, a Virginia Teaching Certificate from the Virginia Department of Education, obtained in June 2017, a Basic Archery Instructor certification from the NATIONAL ARCHERY IN THE SHOOLS PROGRAM INC, and a MANDT Relational and Technical Training certification from The Mandt System, Inc.
