Joann Purser

JoAnn Purser has been a resident of Killeen since 1972. Since her arrival here as a child she has attended public school in KISD and is a graduate of Killeen High School Class of 1980 participating as the editor of the yearbook staff and as Senior Lieutenant of the Kangarettes.

JoAnn is a member of the First United Methodist Church, Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce, AUSA, the Central Texas Homebuilders Association, and Killeen Volunteers, Inc. She has served many capacities of leadership in Killeen some of which included; Killeen City Council, Junior Service League President, Communities In Schools President, Chamber of Commerce Vice President, Reeces Creek Elementary PTA President, Nolan Middle School PTA President, Ellison HS Quarterback Club President. JoAnn is a philanthropic supporter of many organizations to include Vive Les Arts Theater, the Killeen Junior Livestock Show Association, Metroplex Hospital Foundation, the Food Care Center and the KISD Education Foundation, to name a few.

Currently JoAnn is owner of Purser Homes, a homebuilding company in Killeen and Bentina Rentals, a company that leases apartment homes owned by her and her husband. She is looking forward to the opportunities offered to students that will be attending the KISD Career and Technology Center and has been an advisor/advocate for the construction management department before the building site was selected.
