Mike Ottum is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in various roles within the tech industry. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Danger Devices, Inc. since February 2021, Mike also contributes as a writer for Killing My Lobster since 2014. Previous positions include Software Engineer at Thorn from June 2016 to October 2019, and a Software Architect and Software Engineering Manager at IBM from August 2010 to July 2015. Additionally, Mike worked as a Senior Software Engineer at BigFix, Inc. from January 2007 to August 2010. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2004-2006) and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Carleton College (2000-2004).
