Calin Valcea

Calin Valcea is an experienced professional in supply chain management, currently serving as the Materials Manager at Kimball Electronics since August 2015, where responsibilities include overseeing the supply chain organization in the production facility in Timisoara and leading the materials organization start-up. Prior to this, Calin held the position of Managing Director at s Proserv Ltd, a subsidiary of Erste Group Bank, from October 2010 to July 2015, focusing on procurement for major banks in Romania and Hungary, while managing P&L and contract negotiations. Calin's experience also includes roles at Flextronics as Site Material Manager, where oversight of a team of over 450 people included planning, purchasing, and logistics, and as Lean Supply Chain Manager, where process improvements were implemented. Earlier, Calin worked at Solectron as Business Unit Material Manager, establishing the purchasing and planning material organization in a greenfield plant. Calin holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Petrosani, earned between 1986 and 1992.
