Gena Harris

Gena Harris is a Communications Analyst at Kimley-Horn, responsible for planning and coordinating national engineering conferences, corporate partnerships, external content, and thought leadership initiatives since September 2024. Prior experience includes serving as an Executive Assistant for Marketing and Communication at Public Sector Consultants, where event planning and vendor coordination were key responsibilities. Gena also worked as a Multimedia Journalist at WILX-TV and as a News Anchor and Reporter at News Central 34, delivering news to a student audience and producing in-depth stories on significant social issues. Additional roles included co-hosting and reporting for Central View Live, serving as Vice President of the Sigma Kappa Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and working as a student reporter for NPR, where over 150 radio stories were produced. Gena completed a Bachelor's degree in Applied Arts with a focus on Broadcast and Cinematic Arts at Central Michigan University in 2022.
