Cathy Boath has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Cathy began their career as a Training & Development Consultant at Guardian Insurance Canada, where they designed and delivered various training programs. Cathy then joined ING Canada as a Manager of Learning & Development, managing a team of consultants and leading leadership and professional development initiatives.
Cathy later moved on to Kraft Foods, where they held multiple roles in HR and organization development. As the Director of Talent and Organization Effectiveness, they led strategies and programs for talent management and acquisition. Cathy also served as the HR Sr. Manager of Organization Development, focusing on team effectiveness, change management, diversity & inclusion, and leadership assessment & coaching.
After Kraft Foods, Cathy joined RSA Canada as the Director of Organization Effectiveness, overseeing the country's organizational change management practices. Cathy led a team of independent contractor Change Management professionals and supported a large workforce.
In 2019, Cathy founded CB HR Consulting, where they specialized in leadership and talent development, team effectiveness, change management, and the employee experience. Cathy developed strategies to accelerate transformation and built talent solutions to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Currently, Cathy is working as the Associate Director of People and Culture at Kinark Child and Family Services. Their responsibilities include providing thought leadership in organizational development, assessing culture and talent-related systems, and designing OD strategies to improve individual, team, and organizational performance.
Throughout their career, Cathy has shown expertise in various areas such as learning & development, talent management, change management, and organization effectiveness. Cathy is also certified in Prosci, VOICES 360 feedback, and HBDI assessments.
Cathy Boath holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from Western University, which they obtained from 1987 to 1991. Cathy also has a Certificate in Training & Development from Ryerson University, earned between 1994 and 1995. In addition, they completed a Human Resources Certificate at Seneca Polytechnic from 1991 to 1992. Cathy has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging from LinkedIn in 2023, Prosci Change Management in 2014, Hermann Brain Dominance Thinking Style Inventory from Hermann International in 2010, Lominger VOICES 360 Feedback from Korn Ferry in 2008, and DDI Suite of Training Programs from Development Dimensions International in 2002.
