Laurel Johnson

Laurel Johnson, Ph.D., C.Psych., is a clinical child and adolescent psychologist with extensive experience in various leadership and therapeutic roles. Currently serving at Chrysalis Psychological and Counselling Services since January 2016, Laurel specializes in assessment and intervention for children, adolescents, and families. At Kinark Child and Family Services, Laurel has held multiple positions since January 2006, including Clinical Director of Community Mental Health, where responsibilities include planning, delivering, and evaluating clinical services, as well as implementing Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Prior roles at Kinark also include oversight of clinical programming within secure facilities and providing comprehensive psychological services to at-risk youth. Laurel’s earlier experience includes board membership at the Ontario Psychological Association and conducting court-ordered assessments at CAMH. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Developmental Psychology from the University of Guelph and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto.
