Gemma Smart

Gemma Smart is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in manufacturing technology and project leadership, currently serving as the Manufacturing Technology Engineering Group Leader at Kindeva Drug Delivery since 2020. Previously, Gemma held various roles at 3M from 2003 to 2020, including Senior Manufacturing Technology Engineer and Project Leader, contributing significantly to the commercial production of metered dose inhaler (MDI) componentry and leading global projects for product development. With a background in analytical science, Gemma began the career in the quality control laboratory at Boots Healthcare International and gained formulation and analysis experience during an industrial placement at Wyeth Whitehall Pharmaceuticals. Gemma’s educational background includes a BSc (Hons) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Sheffield Hallam University and a project management course at The George Washington University School of Business.
