Hyla-Mone'T H. Penn

Hyla-Mone't H. Penn has a varied work experience, starting as a General Education Teacher at River's Edge Elementary School in Clayton County, GA from 2006 to 2011. Hyla-Mone't H. then worked as a Classroom Teacher at The Kindezi Schools from 2011 to 2013. Hyla-Mone't H. became an Assistant Principal at The Kindezi Schools from 2013 to 2014 before being promoted to Principal from 2014 to 2023. In 2022, they started their own business, H-Monét Penn, LLC, where they work as an Educational Consultant. Hyla-Mone't H. will also be joining The Kindezi Schools as the Director of Teacher Residency starting in April 2023.

Hyla-Mone't H. Penn earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from Spelman College from 2002 to 2006. Later, they pursued a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching at the University of Phoenix from 2008 to 2012. Currently, they are working towards a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General at the University of Phoenix, which they started in 2012 and is expected to complete in 2023.
