Prof. Abdullah al-Bargi

Prof. Abdullah Al-Bargi is a distinguished educator and administrator at King AbdulAziz University, serving as President of the Saudi TESOL Association and Secretary General of the International Advisory Board. With over two decades of experience at KAU, Prof. Al-Bargi has held various significant roles, including Dean of the English Language Institute, where leadership was demonstrated in developing academic programs for over 18,000 students and 500 faculty. Previous positions include General Supervisor of the KAU Academic Strategic Planning Unit, Deputy Director of External Studies at the Advisory Board Centre, and Certified Academic Accreditation Site Reviewer for CEA. Prof. Al-Bargi’s academic background includes a PhD in Applied Linguistics and a Master's in TESOL from Arizona State University, complemented by early career experiences in journalism and translation.
