Carrie Avila-Mooney

Carrie Avila-Mooney currently serves as the Director of Strategic Transit Integration and Partnerships for King County, WA, since August 2023. Previously, Carrie held multiple roles at Sound Transit, including Deputy Executive Director of Government and Community Relations, Director of Regional Government and Community Relations, and Government and Community Relations Manager for the Central Corridor. Prior experience includes serving as Policy Director for Joe McDermott at King County, and holding positions such as State Policy Director for the Transportation Choices Coalition, Board Member for Northwest SEED, and Policy Associate for the Northwest Energy Coalition. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Louisville.
