Gary Kurihara

Gary Kurihara is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in performance management and organizational transformation. Currently serving as the Chief Performance Officer for King County, WA since April 2016, Gary is instrumental in driving strategic planning, process improvement, and leadership development to achieve an exemplary government operation. Previously, Gary held various leadership roles at Grainger, including District Director, where accountability for over $200 million in annual sales was attained, and Director of Continuous Improvement, emphasizing productivity and customer service enhancements. Gary's career also includes foundational roles at Nike and Hilton Hotels & Resorts, complemented by a degree in Organizational Development from Brigham Young University–Hawaii.
