Sam Herbst

Sam Herbst, PMP, currently serves as the West Point General Construction Contract Program Manager at King County, WA, overseeing significant upgrades to the West Point Treatment Plant, which supports 700,000 residents and businesses. With a proven track record in managing multi-million dollar capital projects and leading various operational initiatives, Sam's previous roles include Senior Capital Project Manager and Senior Project Manager at King County Metro. Sam's diverse experience also encompasses program management at the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs and senior positions at Amazon, where operations were optimized through robotic logistics. Prior naval service includes commanding USS SHOUP and serving as Chief of Staff for The Joint Staff. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Geology, a Master's in International Relations and National Security Studies, and various qualifications in project management from esteemed institutions.
