Chris Long

Chris Long has a strong background in supply chain management and has held various senior roles in the industry. Chris started their career at Perdue Farms in 1994, where they served as a Supply Chain Manager for 12 years. During their time at Perdue Farms, they were responsible for establishing price points, improving inventory levels, and re-engineering the raw material production strategy.

In 2006, Long moved on to Wayne Farms, where they served as a Supply Chain Manager and implemented the Sales & Operations Planning process to address sourcing challenges and create synchronization between business units. Chris successfully maintained the 52-week production plan across eight facilities.

Long then joined Pilgrim's in 2012 as a Senior Director in Supply Chain and Raw Material Procurement for Prepared Foods, where they optimized raw material sourcing and negotiated with co-packers. Chris later transitioned to the role of Senior Director in Supply Chain for Prepared Foods, where they improved demand planning and tracked improvements in the supply chain process, acting as a liaison between Sales/Marketing and Operations.
