Leena Karia

Leena Karia is the current Director & Head of India Operations at Kingfish Group. Prior to this, they were with The Akanksha Foundation as Manager of Human Resources from October 2002 to March 2003. Her responsibilities included recruitment of staff, managing a team of volunteers and organizing training programmes.

Before that, Leena worked with Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces as Relationship Manager for Taj Corporate Sales from January 1999 to October 2002. In this role, they were in charge of a portfolio of 35 key companies comprising of Foreign Banks, MNC’s and Consulates. Leena was responsible for maximizing revenue for Taj Hotels and other allied products of the Taj Group from their portfolio on a local and international level.

Leena has also volunteered with Aman Setu from June 2012 to March 2014 and with Ra Foundation from August 2006 to July 2008. In both these roles, they helped out with various social work projects.

Leena started their career as Client Liasion with DNA Saraha in Pune from April 1998 to December 1998. Leena then moved to NAS Hauliers Ltd. in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania where they worked as Client Liasion from April 1995 to April 1998.

Leena Karia has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Fergusson College and a MSW in Social Work from the College Of Social Work, Nirmala Niketan.
