Mohsen Ghasempour, Ph.D.

Mohsen Ghasempour, Ph.D., currently serves as Chief AI Officer at Kingfisher plc, where leadership includes the strategy, execution, and governance of AI initiatives across major home improvement retailers in Europe, successfully scaling over 50 AI services. Previously, as Group AI Director at Kingfisher, Mohsen founded and led the central AI function, spearheading high-impact AI products and platforms. Prior roles include Technical Director at THG, overseeing a significant government-funded AI project in collaboration with prominent universities, and Head of Machine Learning & AI, where management of a large team delivered various AI-based e-commerce solutions. Additional experience encompasses roles in data science, research and development, and academia, where Mohsen contributed to machine learning and data analytics projects, culminating in multiple grant successes and educational instruction. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The University of Manchester, an MSc in Microelectronics from Newcastle University, and a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
