Michael Kussaim joined King's Academy in 2007 as a biology teacher in the Department of Physical and Life Sciences. Born in Beirut and raised in Limassol, Cyprus, he returned to Lebanon to study at the Lebanese American University (LAU), where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in biology, and his Master's degree in molecular biology and microbiology. While studying for his Master's, he taught introductory biology to freshman students at LAU.
After completing his army duty, Mr. Kussaim taught biology to high school and middle school students in Lebanon between 2005 and 2006. He then moved to Jordan, where he taught IGCSE and IB Biology to 11th and 12th grade students at Amman Academy between 2006 and 2007 prior to joining King's.
In 2013, Mr. Kussaim obtained a Master’s degree in multidisciplinary studies from the State University of New York College at Buffalo (SUNY). In 2019, he became associate dean of academic affairs at King’s Academy in addition to teaching biology in the Department of Physical and Life Sciences.
