Michelle Alo has extensive experience in the food industry, with a focus on brand management and production planning. Michelle is currently the Director of Marketing at Kings River Packing, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Sun-Maid Growers of California for several years, starting in 2008. Their roles at Sun-Maid included Manager of Sweetness Transformation, Brand Manager for Sour Raisin Snacks, Associate Brand Manager for Growth, Production Planning Manager, and Sun-Land Brand Extension Buyer and Analyst. Michelle also worked as a Production Planner at Sun-Maid from 2008 to 2011, where they were responsible for scheduling production, communicating with the sales force, and coordinating with various departments. Before joining Sun-Maid, Michelle was a Member of the Food Marketing Fellows, where they attended industry conferences and traveled internationally to learn about foreign business practices in the food industry. Michelle also gained experience as an Operations Intern at Sun-Maid in 2007, where they analyzed operation practices, worked with top management to improve efficiency, and contributed to developing new technological solutions. Michelle began their career as an Administrative Assistant at the Royal Valley Fruit Growers Association in 2006, where they worked with field managers, compiled schedules, managed inventory, and invoiced for the packing house.
Michelle Alo earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Applied Economics and Management with a concentration in Agribusiness Management and Finance from Cornell University in 2008. Michelle also obtained a certification as a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from APICS in 2017.
