Sara Whittaker has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and marketing. Sara began their career as a Student Editorial Assistant at LSU Office of Public Affairs in 2000 and held this position until 2004. Sara then joined Children's Hospital (New Orleans) as a Community Relations Coordinator from 2004 to 2005. Following this, they worked at LSU Career Services, first as a Communications Manager from 2005 to 2009, and then as an Assistant Director for Communications from 2009 to 2010. From 2010 onwards, Sara joined LSU Foundation, where they held various roles, including Director of Foundation Communications, Director of Communications & Donor Relations, Senior Director of Communications & Marketing, Assistant Vice President of Communications & Marketing, and currently serves as the Associate Vice President of Communications & Marketing.

Sara Whittaker has a strong education history that includes obtaining a Master of Science (MS) degree in Human Resource Education from Louisiana State University. Sara attended the university from 2008 to 2010 in order to pursue this degree. Earlier in their academic journey, they also attended Louisiana State University from 2000 to 2004 and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Mass Communication.

In addition to their formal education, Sara Whittaker has also obtained a certification as a Certified Digital Marketing Professional from the Digital Marketing Institute in January 2021. This certification showcases their expertise and knowledge in the field of digital marketing.
