Throughout her career, Nancy has been instrumental in building winning companies. Nancy founded Taylor Winfield Inc. in 1986, partnering with private equity firms and focusing on executive search for emerging growth companies. In 1993, she began an innovative investment model, investing alongside her clients in their portfolio companies. In 1994, she introduced BEA Systems to Warburg Pincus, resulting in BEA becoming the fastest growing software company in Silicon Valley in the 1990s. In 2003, she co-founded Pagemill Partners, which provides financial advisory services to emerging and middle-market technology companies. In 2006, she founded Kingsley Gate, the precursor to today’s Kingsley Gate Partners.
Nancy served on the boards of Apollo Enterprise Solutions, and Upward, an organization for women executives. She is an Advisory Board Member of Illuminate, a venture fund focused on women entrepreneurs. She is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the Committee of 200 (an organization of the world’s most successful women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders), and Silicon Valley Executive Network (SVEN). Nancy was named one of the Influential Women of Silicon Valley for 2010 and is a distinguished Junior Achievement 2012 Hall of Fame Laureate.
Nancy holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University (SMU) with international training from the London Business School (LBS) and has attended Stanford University Director’s College.
