Alan Brown

Alan is the Founder and President of A. Brown and Company Ltd, which provides strategic advice to leaders amongst a small group of corporate, institutional and government clients globally. While the requirements of each client are unique, and the approach is tailored entirely to the individual and prevailing circumstances, the central proposition is predicated on delivering bespoke, independent, confidential, non-event driven advice to a deliberately small group of clients, with relationships based on mutual respect and trust. The style is thoughtful, analytical, strategic and discrete. The approach ensures alignment of objectives with those of the clients, and complements other advisers.

The Company is fortunate to have clients based in each of Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, who have shown faith in and enthusiasm for this model. The Company is made an insider by each client, which he feel strongly leads to the best quality advice.

A portion of profits is gifted to selected charities each year.

Alan founded the Company in 2016, following a career in investment banking. Alan’s advice is based on decades of work in capital markets, including establishing and heading a top-ranked global corporate finance business, leading the advice on multiple large, complex advisory and capital raising transactions globally, and acting as a trusted advisor to Boards of clients of long-standing.

While leading the Global Natural Resources Group at Deutsche Bank based in London, with responsibility for the bank’s corporate finance activities across the Chemicals; Oil and Gas; Metals and Mining; and Power, Utilities, Renewables and Infrastructure sectors globally, since its inception in 2007, Alan acted for a wide range of clients globally and led the advice on several significant transactions totaling over USD200 billion.
