Edward Chandler

Edward has 35 years’ experience in advising companies and private equity firms on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, debt and equity capital raisings and privatisations.

Working in senior leadership positions with two of the world’s leading investment banks, he has advised CEOs of companies in the technology, media, industrial, consumer and healthcare industries.

Since leaving DB in June 2014, Edward has taken on a number of board and financial advisory assignments in the healthcare, educational and financial services sectors in the UK and Continental Europe.

In 2018, he co-founded Namier Capital Partners Limited (www.namiercapital.com) together with Mark Beilby who is also a DB alumni.

Namier Capital advises fast growing disruptive technology companies on their strategic, commercial and financial development. It also raises capital for them drawing on the firm’s extensive connections with family offices and VCs in the UK, Continental Europe, South Africa, Australia and China.

Its current portfolio of 25 companies comprises ones operating in the Healthcare, Consumer, Environmental, Engineering/Robotics, New Media, EdTech and Logistics sectors.

Edward was at DB for 17 years (1996-2014) where he performed a number of leadership roles, latterly as chairman of global corporate finance. His principal client focus was on large caps in Northern Europe, the Benelux and Switzerland.

Prior to DB, Edward worked for 15 years for SG Warburg Group plc (which included a four year spell in Australia), again working in corporate finance/M&A. His last position there was a co-head of corporate finance and a member of the Group board.
