Francois Marmion

Francois is the Founder of MARMION Conseils. He founded his financial risk and capital management consulting firm based in Paris and focused on European insurance and reinsurance groups five years ago.

Prior to this Francois was two years with EY EMEIA Financial Services in London, advising European insurance groups on risk management and balance sheet optimization, and following a 23-year banking career, first in equity derivative trading in Asia and Europe, moving into structuring and structured sales with various global investment banks.

Francois joined DB Global Markets operations in 2006 in London, moving back to Japan in 2007 to lead the cross-asset Strategic Solutions Group, including the local Strategic Equity Transactions team, until 2011.

Francois has an established track-record of developing, advising on and delivering innovative structured financing, investment and hedging solutions to financial institutions and corporate clients, across multiple jurisdictions, backed by a strong derivative trading and risk management background, as well as deep financial and insurance regulatory and accounting knowledge.

He is now a capital optimization specialist with strategic vision and has carried out close to 70 consulting projects for over 25 clients since setting up.

Francois has a master’s degree from HEC Business School and speaks French, English, German and Japanese.
