Prior to founding Orion3, Rowena was with Deutsche Bank (DB) for 20 years most recently as the Chairman of Hong Kong Coverage and Vice Chairman of Greater China Coverage Corporate & Investment Bank.

In her coverage role she completed a number of notable deals to include advising CKHutchison in its sale of telecom towers to Cellnex, leading the PCCW inaugural subordinated perpetual bond, leading CKI’s fixed-for-life subordinated perpetual with shares, CKA’s inaugural fixed for life bond, Hutchison Telecom HK’s sale to ISQ, Hutchison Port Trust Singapore IPO which was Singapore’s largest IPO for many years, monetization of Vodafone and Deutsche Telecom shares for CK Hutchison etc.

Before becoming Vice Chairman of Greater China, she was Deutsche Bank’s Chairman of ECM, Asia where she raised DB’s league table ranking from 16th to 4th in Asia and led many of the world’s largest IPOs at the time to include Alibaba's IPO and monetized part of Yahoo’s holding in Alibaba shares, HKTelecom Business Trust IPO, Netease IPO, Industrial Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China IPO etc.

Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Rowena was CFO of ICG Asia, a joint venture between ICG Inc in the USA and CK Hutchison responsible for corporate structure, capital raising and M&A activities. She joined ICG from Merrill Lynch where she was the Head of Asia Technology Division, for ECM Origination.

Early in Rowena’s Investment Banking career she was with JP Morgan for 12 years where she rose to lead their Global Markets business in debt and equity, structured credit and FX. Her last position at JP Morgan was as Co-Head of its Greater China Division.

Rowena received a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration from Boston University. She was selected in 2011 as the Top 20 women in finance in Asia by Finance Asia.
