Tetsuya Kodama has spent 40 years in the financial industry.

Prior to joining Barclays as Vice Chairman for Asia Pacific, he spent 12 years with Deutsche Bank in Tokyo, as MD in the fixed income capital markets business, heading up the sovereign, supranational and agency business, covering large corporates, banks and other financials.

After retiring from Barclays in July 2022, from September, he joined Nihon Cyber Defence Co., Ltd., a cyber security company effectively run mainly by ex-intelligence and defence officials from the UK, joined by similar background colleagues from the US, Australia, and Japan.

At Barclays, as FINTECH, DX changed the financial industry into a client information / data business, he focused on the importance of Cyber Security, increasing the dialogue with relevant parties both locally and globally. And as Vice Chairman for Asia Pacific for the last 3 years, in addition to being a member of the Asia Pacific Management team, focused on strengthening the governance and linkage between the countries of operation in the region.
