More than 27 years of experience in investment banking with tenures at five bulge bracket investment and commercial banks.

Founder of Panaxia, an independent advisor which provides financial advisory and consultancy services to private clients, corporations, and investment funds and co-founder of Hellenic Finance, has acted as advisor and overseen the overall strategy formulation for all major Greek NPL transactions & international servicer acquisitions.

As Senior Advisor to CEO at Piraeus Bank between 2014-2016, was responsible to set up the Task Force Merchant Banking and Special Situations unit that designed and executed corporate restructurings for some of the most problematic sectors of the Greek economy and devised platforms and strategies for the most efficient divestment of non-core assets and the deleveraging of the bank's balance sheet.

He served as Global Head and Managing Director to set up various structuring and trading businesses at Deutsche Bank from 1999 to 2005, and Merrill Lynch from 2005 to 2008.

He was Global Head of the Special Situations Group at UBS from 2011 to 2013, a unit that acted as a lender of last resort in structured financings.

Prior to that, he spent 2 years as Director of EM Derivatives Trading and Structuring for Lehman Brothers and started his career at Credit Suisse where he worked for 7 years in corporate finance and specialized in structuring financial & derivatives solutions.

He holds an MBA (Financial Engineering concentration) from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a BBA in Finance and Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
