Werner Steinmüller is a Senior Advisor to Deutsche Bank AG (former Chief Executive Officer Asia-Pacific, Member of the Management Board of Deutsche Bank AG).

Werner Steinmüller has been senior advisor to Deutsche Bank since August 2020. Furthermore, since June 2020 he has been the Head of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank SpA Italy.

From August 2016 to July 2020, Werner Steinmüller was CEO Asia-Pacific and Member of the Management Board of Deutsche Bank AG.

Until May 2020, Werner Steinmüller was a Member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank Privat- und Firmenkundenbank AG. Previously, from 2015 to 2018, he was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Postbank AG.

From 2004 to 2016, Werner Steinmüller was Head of Global Transaction Banking. In this role he was responsible for leading Deutsche Bank’s global efforts in trade finance, cash management, institutional cash and securities services and had additional co- responsibilities for the commercial banking business in Germany.

From 2003 to 2004, Werner Steinmüller was Chief Operating Officer for the Bank’s Global Banking Division / Global Transaction Banking. Prior to this, from 1998 to 2003, he was Head of the Global Banking Division Europe. From 1991 to 1998, he was Co-Head of Corporate Finance Germany and worked in Corporate Finance.

Werner Steinmüller joined Deutsche Bank from Citibank in 1991 where he served as Co-Head Corporate Finance Germany in his last position.

Werner Steinmüller studied at the University of Darmstadt and holds a master degree in mechanical engineering and business administration.
