Michaela Sparringa

Michaela Sparringa is a dedicated nursing professional and educator with extensive experience in both clinical and academic settings. Currently serving as a Professor and Clinical Instructor at St. Lawrence College and Queen's University, Michaela teaches various nursing courses while also engaging in graduate research focused on health access for low-income women. Additionally, Michaela works as a Registered Nurse in the PACU at Kingston Health Sciences Centre, where critical care and post-operative nursing are provided. Prior roles include assisting in ICU during the COVID-19 pandemic, completing nursing rotations, and serving as an Unregulated Care Provider, which collectively underscore a strong foundation in nursing practice and education. Michaela holds both a Master of Nursing Science and a Bachelor of Nursing Science from Queen's University.
