Michael Hengen has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Michael began their career in 2012 as a Warehouse Worker at Estevan Meter Services, where they handled part orders, repaired used parts, and performed various shop-related tasks. In 2013, they worked as a Field Operator at T. Bird Oil Ltd., conducting inspections, performing fluid shots, and assisting with optimization operations.

In 2015, Michael joined Crescent Point Energy as an Operations Engineering Intern, providing support on surface and downhole optimizations. Michael analyzed pump efficiency and evaluated potential optimizations. Michael then transitioned to a role as a Battery Operator in the Flat Lake area, where they carried out daily operator duties.

In 2017, Michael joined Kingston Midstream as an Engineer in Training. Michael worked on planning operations, maintenance, and construction activities. Michael also played a key role in the company's transition to an integrated operations model. Michael later advanced to the position of Engineer, contributing to the company's projects.

Overall, Michael Hengen has gained significant experience in operations planning, engineering, optimization, and field operations within the oil and gas industry.

Michael Hengen obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Petroleum Systems Engineering from the University of Regina. Michael attended the university from 2012 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Estevan Comprehensive School from 2007 to 2010, earning a High School Diploma. In addition to their academic qualifications, Michael also holds a certification as a Professional Engineer, obtained in February 2021 from the institution APEGS.
