Scott van Pelt

Scott Van Pelt has over 30 years of work experience in financial management and accounting roles. Scott is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Kingstone Insurance Company. Before this, they served as the CFO at CHW Group from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Citibank as the CFO for Citi Reinsurance and Finance Officer for Citi Holdings from 2015 to 2018. Scott also has experience as a consultant and was the CFO at Star & Shield Insurance Group, a startup insurance company in Florida. Earlier in their career, they held senior financial positions at Delos Insurance Company, Everest National Insurance Company, Greater New York Mutual Insurance Companies, Atlantic Re Management, and a reinsurance management subsidiary of Atlantic Mutual Insurance Co. Overall, Scott Van Pelt has a strong background in financial management and accounting in the insurance industry.

Scott Van Pelt attended the University of Notre Dame from 1983 to 1988, where they earned a BBA in Accounting from the Mendoza College of Business. Scott furthered their education at Fairleigh Dickinson University from 1989 to 1993, obtaining an MBA with a specialization in Corporate Finance.
