Michael Burkhardt

Michael Burkhardt, PE, is a Senior Long Range Mining Engineer at Kinross Gold Corporation, with prior experience as a Senior Mining Engineer at Rawhide Mining LLC and a Mining Engineer at Halliburton. At Rawhide Mining, Michael created mine plans and geologic models using Vulcan software and presented key technical information to management and investors. During tenure at Halliburton, responsibilities included developing long-term mine and reclamation plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to NEPA permitting processes. Michael also served as a Research Assistant at the Colorado School of Mines, where involvement in various projects included managing a large database of rock mechanics test results and conducting comprehensive testing. Michael holds a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
