Terence Watungwa

Terence Watungwa is an accomplished executive in the mining industry with significant experience at Kinross Gold Corporation, currently serving as Vice President and General Manager of Kinross Alaska since April 2017, overseeing three mines within a 400km radius. Previously, Terence held various leadership positions within Kinross, including Vice President & General Manager at Chirano Gold Mines Limited and Dvoinoye Mine, and served as Deputy General Manager, Technical Services Manager, and Operations Manager. Terence's career also includes roles as Senior Project Engineer at Rockwell Petroleum and Production Engineer/Senior Long Range Planning Engineer at Stillwater Mining Company, among other positions. Terence's educational background includes an MBA in Operations Management from Colorado Technical University, an Advanced Project Management Certification from Stanford University, and completion of multiple executive education programs at Harvard Business School.
