Chris Tangard has a strong background in finance and audit. Chris has held various roles at Kinsale Insurance, starting as the Director of Internal Audit from June 2019 to February 2021. Chris then became the Assistant Vice President of Internal Audit from February 2021 to March 2023. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Finance at Kinsale Insurance, a position they have held since March 2023.
Prior to their time at Kinsale Insurance, Chris worked at KPMG US. Chris started as an Associate in Audit in November 2010 and was promoted to Senior Associate in Transactions and Restructuring in April 2014. Chris held this position for two months before transitioning back to Senior Associate in Audit until June 2015. Chris then became a Manager in Audit from July 2015 to October 2017, before being promoted to Senior Manager in Audit where they worked until June 2019.
Chris Tangard attended Hampden-Sydney College from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics & Commerce, as well as Spanish. Chris then pursued further education at William & Mary in 2009, completing a Master's degree in Accounting in 2010.
