Sean Tey

Sean Tey is a Data Infrastructure Engineer at Mars since October 2020, contributing to engineering and machine learning projects for various brands under Mars Petcare. Prior experience includes a role as a Data Science Intern at UnitedHealth Group, where Sean predicted hospitalization likelihood using Gradient Boosting Trees and performed data analysis with Python. At UCSF Medical Center, Sean served as a Machine Learning Researcher, applying algorithms on fMRI data and developing processing pipelines. Earlier experience as a Student Technician at the University of San Francisco involved maintaining deployment images and providing technical support. Sean holds a Master of Science in Data Science and a Bachelor's degree in Data Science and Economics from the University of San Francisco.
