Mike Harder

Mike Harder is an experienced engineering manager with a robust background in product support and quality assurance. Currently serving as Manager of Test at KION North America since January 2017, Mike Harder oversees new product qualification and testing for Linde and Baoli products in North America. Previously, Mike Harder held significant roles at JLG Industries from 1997 to September 2016, including Director Worldwide Product Support Engineering, where management of 63 engineers globally improved project closure times by 15% annually. Other positions at JLG included Director of Engineering for NA Telescopic Material Handlers, overseeing a large team within a substantial R&D budget, and Director of Reliability Engineering, where Mike Harder established JLG’s Reliability Program, significantly reducing warranty costs. Prior experience includes serving as Quality Test Manager at Philips Electronics, contributing to compliance with ISO 9001:1994 standards. Mike Harder possesses a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, and Business from Columbia College and has an educational background from Henry Ford College.
