Dede Dascalu

Dede Dascalu has a long history of work experience, beginning in 1999. Dede worked as a Web Developer for Genesis Studios, developing web sites for small businesses, universities and individuals, and managing search engine optimization. In 2000, they worked as an Embedded Software Developer for the University of Virginia, developing custom Digital Signal Processing (DSP) software for high-speed laser trap control and data acquisition. In 2001 they worked as a Lead Associate for Booz Allen Hamilton. In 2006, they worked as a Senior Ski Patroller for the National Ski Patrol. In 2014, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Stratus Solutions. In 2019, they became the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer of Applied Insight LLC. Finally, in 2021 they became a Partner at The Acacia Group.

Dede Dascalu attended George Mason High School from 1995 to 1997 and obtained an International Baccalaureate in Science. Dede then attended the University of Virginia from 1997 to 2001, earning a BS in Computer Science. In 2007, Dede obtained their CISSP certification from ISC2, and in 2012 they obtained their CCAH certification from Cloudera.
